Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to enquiries, quotations, assessments, servicing, repairs and installation work supplied by MJG Trading in South Africa.

Quotations and assessments

Quotations are based on the information and site conditions reasonably available at the time of assessment. Additional faults, concealed damage, unsafe existing work or changes requested by the customer may require a revised quotation. Unless stated otherwise, a quotation does not reserve stock or an installation date until accepted and any required deposit has been received.

Work and existing equipment

MJG Trading will carry out agreed work with reasonable care and skill. Existing systems may contain faults, wear, damage or non-compliant work that is not visible before work begins. Where practical, MJG Trading may recommend repair before replacement, but the final recommendation depends on safety, condition, parts availability and long-term serviceability.

Customer-supplied equipment

Where a customer supplies equipment or parts, MJG Trading cannot warrant the quality, compatibility or manufacturer performance of those items. Labour or installation charges may still apply if customer-supplied equipment proves faulty or unsuitable.

Access and site conditions

The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the property, equipment and required electrical supply. The customer should disclose known hazards, access restrictions and relevant defects before work begins.

Payment

Payment terms, deposits and balances will be stated on the applicable quotation or invoice. Work, materials or equipment remain subject to the agreed payment terms.

Cancellations and changes

Please notify MJG Trading as soon as possible if an appointment or accepted job needs to be changed. Special-order or specifically procured items may be subject to supplier cancellation or return restrictions.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. MJG Trading is not responsible for faults or losses caused by misuse, unauthorised alterations, third-party work, power problems, lightning, water ingress, pests, accidental damage, normal wear and tear or circumstances outside its reasonable control, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
